finishing it

I am taking the day off tomorrow to finish up the car if anyone feels like stopping by the house (Jason). I don't see why I can't get it done and fired up tomorrow, I just got by vacuum manifold and am going to get the crush washers I needed from my guy at Jeff Wyler in a few minutes.
It's about fucking time.

Any chance it'll make it to the track this weekend?

I didn;t know Jason was out of town.
I doubt I will make it to the track, I'm counting on having some minor bugs to work out.
And yeah it took me a while to do this, but it wasn't like I was installing a purchased kit. A lot of stuff I had to figure out as I went, and hell who knows how many hours I have just into driving to Lowes, Sears Hardware and the Dodgde deal. That and I am extremely fucking anal so everything has to look nice too. The extra time I took with this install has been worth it IMO.

I think it is fairly tuned, still have to fine-tune the AOBE though. Right now base pressure is at 17psi and idle doesn't seem that rich with the big stage 0 injectors.
I got it fired around 11:00 last night with the help of Ian and Charlie and took it for a little drive around the hood. Hit open throttle briefly and everything seems kosher and it pulls pretty hard. Had a little scare when the temp gauge shot up real high, but it went right back down and I hadn't ran the engine since I filled the coolant back up so it was likely just an air bubble. My boost gauge doesn't appear to be working though for some reason, once I figure that out and putt around in it a little more it will be time to push on it a little more. BTW the open 3" DP sounds great!
Make fun of me all you want for taking almost 2 months to do this, but just about everything worked great first try, and I had virtually no problems putting it together. I didnt get pissed once!

My engine bay look way pimp too.
I should be around tonight, though I may have to stop by my dude's to help him with his six-three for a bit.
