Reminds me of my Shelby Z's. Last year I almost bought an Omni GLH for $300, but it needed too much work to get it to daily driver status. I really cannot stand any Omni, but I still would love to get a GLHS and beef it up to around 500 horsepower and remove the GLHS parts to make it look like your average Omni and make Z06, Cobra, SS, T/A, etc. owners cry when an Omni of all cars make them look retardedly slow.
I always wanted to gut my '88 Shelby Z and build it up like that or drop the V8 RWD conversion kit in it and drop a 440 in it for some real fun.

I had a deposit on a GLH but had to walk away when the dealership (Palmer Dodge West, Indianapolis) made two different offers for my then-current Omni as a trade (one to me and a lower one to my father- I was in my early 20's and had to have a co-signer). My father said that they were being dishonest (which they were) and wouldn't sign on the deal.

That video brought back great memories.

Yeah, that was my first time dealing with Palmer. The second was when I ordered my '91 Shadow at the now closed Keystone Ave. location (I did all of the paperwork myself since my salesman didn't bother to come in for the appointment and no other salesmen would help me- I am dead serious, I ordered my own car!). My last experience with them was at their body shop on 96th St. after the tree fell on my '04 SXT. I had to babysit them to make sure they did the work correctly (it took several trips back and a complaint filed with State Farm before all was said and done). I think that I have given them enough chances for my business, don't you? Never again.

Thats ridiculous.. when my dad went back to indy to visit my fam, my first gen was throwin CEL and he took it to palmer, they said it was some sort of sensor, and then they charged him an arm and a leg for it, only for the light to comeback a week later, he tried to contact them once he got back here to Ohio and got no help at all.

Cantley's junkyard has a few turbo DSM's still with some turbo parts such as the intercoolers and on occasion they have turbo Mopars as well.
