fuckin' dammit!

Post by Vinny »

For the first time in my life, I lightly curb checked my right rear wheel last night in Clifton. I thought I had tons of room, but the heavy rain was tricking my eyes.

I was so upset.

So now I am unsure what to do..... The scuff is very minor, could easily be repaired but the wheel would need refinished. I would have to get them all refinished, no way to try and match that.

Should I:

a. just buy a replacement Steel Grey Rota Slipstream

b. have these refinished in a dark bronze, since I don't think the Rota Steel Grey color will go good with the '05 Neon Mineral Grey Metallic I would like to eventually paint the car.

c. use that is an excuse to get in on the 15"x7" Slipstream GB on .org (least financially feasable)

I have until January or so to figure it out, but gimme your opinion anyway.

BLASTS!!!!

I'd go with (D)... sell the wheel to me cheap so I can use it as a light weight spare instead of my 18.2lb R/T wheel.

Seriously though I'd go with B if you do plan on repainting, but if not go with (A) unless you can afford the GB, then i'd go with those.

hahahaha, yeah i don't think I helped

HAHAHA  Fred has crabs

If you seriously want to buy this lightly marred wheel to use as a spare we can totally work something out. I mean you could easily use a dremel to polish the scuff out, throw paint/powder on it and it would look brand new.

I'd like to change the color of the wheels, but I don't think I will ever realistically be able to afford to have the car painted. (If I had that much money I'd just sell it for an old A-body.)

Buying a single replacement wheel at ~$150 and having the tire remounted is probably my cheapest solution by far.

If it isn't to expensive I'd take it off your hands. Doesn't need to be in great condition, just needs to be lighter than this stock wheel. Plus it'll give me a good idea how they would look on my car since I have considered them as a cheap auto-x wheel for next year.
